Art Deco architecture can be identified by its pastel colors and bright paints, garden fountains and manicured gardens, and ornate windows. Along with the hundreds of homes built in this style, their are plenty of hotels and larger buildings that also represent the Art Deco movement.
The Art Deco style that made itself popular in Miami was actually inspired by a similar movement spreading across Europe earlier in the century. While there are many different preferences and stylistic choices architects make when designing buildings, the common features shared between them created an atmosphere that people enjoy. While the buildings were built decades ago, they are still preserved by dedicated preservationists and can still be enjoyed by people today.
